I do not get an extensive opportunity to write code in my job - currently I see a greater opportunity in being able to co-ordinate development through the OATS project. However, I have written and do write some software.

If you browse through my web links or OATS, you will also find lots of useful downloads, hints and tips.

Currently the only vaguely usefull program (in a releasable state) is one written in Python for Risk Assessment and is included here as a legacy (I have a fuller Risk Assesment Program but contact me if you want this). If I do any future software it is more likely to appear on OATS.

Risk Matrix

Risk Matrix, what fun! Bored of working out the results for Risk Assessments? Then this is the program for you! Exciting huh! Basically this program works out the Risk Matrix for you - giving you a numerical and text result. You simply click on the appropriate level of severity and probability. Not only does this make your life easier, but it guarantees (no guarantee implied) that you can't cock it up!

Licence:

There is one and it is here. Read it. This software is open source, thus, 100% free, however if you use it at work then please consider giving me some money. I have also developed an entire Risk Assessment program that can be configured to your requirements. If you are interested contact me for a quote.

Boring Bits:

This program should work with pretty much any operating system, since it was written in python. That said, i've only tested it in Windows, so mail me if try it on another OS.

Notes:

The windows installer seems to have made the file pretty big (3Mb) - it's actually tiny - I will try and make the install file smaller eventually, but in the mean time, for a smaller result install python and then use the compiled python file. Ta. SJ
